The Ministry of Defence has launched a new instrument to recruit new personell for the Dutch Royal Army: Keep, the game. This game is developed and produced by NMTrix in collaboration with Maximum.

Every year the Royal Army hire many new staffmembers to be able to perform her tasks. Aproximately 26.000 people work for the Royal Army. The (in Holland) wellknown campaign Geschikt/Ongeschikt is now expanded with the use of a flashgame.

People who are interested in playing the game can now do so online. The game is situated in a futuristic football stadium and can be played by more than one player at once. You can play it with friends, or other visitors of the Army website. The players have to defend their goal and have to try to pass their opponants. Visitors who sign up for the Army email newsletter ‘Het Vizier’, will be playing in a Golden Powersuit.

NMTrix was responsible for the concept, design and production of the game.

This week a first 3D presentation of a GTP Real Estate project was produced. In a two minute film a presentation of the exclusive appartment building ‘Il Faro’ in Hilversum is given.

Situated on the Vaartweg in Hilversum, with the Hilversum woods and city center close by, a new building with five luxury penthouses will be developed. GTP Real Estate Development asked NMTrix to visualize the project.

When presenting such projects you can choose to make use of classical printing or Power Point presentations. However, 3D animation naturally makes a much greater impression. NMTrix is able to place the projects in a lifelike environment, which makes the presentation more realistic and convincing.

Today a large national labor market campaign for the health and social services has started, carrying the name ‘Open Arms’. NMTrix did the animation for the website of this campaign. The principal of this project is a foundation for labor market and education policies in nursing homes, homes for the elderly and home care.

To be able to take care of the future shortcomings within nursing homes and homes for the elderly, home care and postnatal care, the foundation is trying to get as many people as possible interested in working in the care sector.

The campaign ‘Open Arms’ is produced by advertising agency Maximum. NMTrix made several animations to be used on the website, showing optimism, humanity and accessibility.

The American company Autodesk, the largest animation software publisher in the world, is so enthousiastic about our short film The Dark, they want to use it as demonstration material with their software package 3ds Max.

The Dark, which was watched 30.000 times on Youtube only a few days after release, is produced using the programme 3ds Max. The publisher of this programme, the international software giant Autodesk, got to see our film and immediatly contacted us. The company would like to use the film as demonstration and practise material with the new edition of the programme.

The Dark is called ‘pretty amazing’ on the website of Autodesk, which is a great compliment coming from the company which also delivered the software used for the production of the recent award winning film Avatar.

Nestlé Switzerland is having a campaign for her brand Thomy, using NMTrix’s 3D-characters.

Thomy is a Swiss brand offering i.e. mayonaise, mustard and salad dressings. Advertising agency Advico Young & Rubicam developed a campaign to put the products on the map of the consumers and asked NMTrix to come up with 3D characters. These are brought out on billboards and printed media.

While celebrating the 12,5 year anniversary of NMTrix, the company introduced its new character: Art!

NMTrix has been developing 3D characters for years, for both national as international companies. The 12,5 year anniversary in our opinion was the perfect moment to treat ourselves to our own ambassador.

It has great advantages to give a brand or product its own character. The Michelin man Bibendum and Loekie de Leeuw from STER have been proving this for decades. Also, the world wide web is now offering many ways and opportunities to make use of your own character.

A character can show up in tv commercials, it can be a host on your online platform, but can also play the leading role in campaign games.

Even letting your interactive character perform live on congresses and fairs is possible. By making use of live controlling you can not only present your products on a big screen, but you can also answer your visitors’ questions.

NMTrix director Patrick Nijman: “What we wanted to do is create a character which fitted within our company. The key words were: creative, flexible, playful and energetic. With the help of these words our own art-director Michael Visser began developing.”

Visser: “The fundamental idea was the classical wooden drawing doll, a reference to the tradition where we, as an animation company, come from. We were striving to give that a new, modern face which can be used in many ways. Nijman: “Everybody loved Michael’s creation straight from the beginning. Also when introducing the character during our party we only received positive reactions. We are sure we will be having much fun with our new ‘colleague’ Art.”
